A solid, enjoyable cozy mystery. The characters are likable and I enjoyed seeing someone who isn't a detective by trade (in this case, a librarian) be drawn into the mystery. It was also nice seeing the main character Charlie's talents as a cataloger play a vital roll in helping solve the case. Recommended reading, although like most mysteries the reread value is low.

This was a great read. Quick, easy, and entertaining. The protagonist is a librarian, so naturally I warmed up to him right away.

Enjoyable to read.

"A cosy mystery" is how a lot of reviewers put this and I have to agree. I didn't particularly like the every-minute-of-the-day-is-accounted-for thing, but it was interesting to see how Charlie works out the problem of 'who done it' via intuition and good old fashion gossip in a small town.

Diesel, the Maine Coon is pretty much just like a Maine Coon. I previously had 2 cats that were 1/2 Maine Coon and they were like dogs in cats bodies, which is what Diesel reminded me of. Always wanting to be with people, love to play and like to talk were all characteristics that my 2 had and was Diesel. Overall this book was cute enough that I'm willing to go to the next one in the series and see what that one's like.

Enjoyed the read. I'm used to fast-paced, somewhat dark murder mysteries. This one was a bit more cozy and lighthearted. A good break in my regular reads. I won't pick up the next one in the series right away, but likely will when I need a break from the regular reads.

This was pleasant, but I can't imagine how it becomes a series and am not curious enough to find out.

While there were aspects of this book that I enjoyed, I just couldn't get past my dislike for the main (human) character. The cat, I adored, and I would love to read another book with him, but not if I have to wade through the thoughts of his human to do so.
