I’m really not a mystery-type reader, but this book was fantastic. I have a soft spot for antiquarian books so this was right up my alley!

The writing was not the best - lots of exposition by the narrator instead of showing the reader characters interacting. Some of the twists felt predictable. Also, the narrator had some weirdly homoerotic tension with other male characters. Not even the cat or the narrator's job as an archivist saved it for me.

Un libro la mar de entretenido para pasar una tarde de lluvia entre las mantas. Un misterio alrededor de un famoso escritor que aparece muerto en su habitación de hotel, muchas personas que lo odian y un bibliotecario dispuesto a descubrir la verdad. Para disfrutarlo es mejor ir a ciegas, por eso no quiero desvelar nada más.

This book was slow for me to start....but I really enjoyed it. I will pick up other books in the series. The ending threw me for a loop... like I was shocked but not completely.
