This book had me absolutely hooked! A story about famous actress who is recounting her success and failures to a journalist - through the timeline of her seven husbands.

What I liked about this book:
- My favourite of Jenkins Reid so far!
- We written
- Captivating
- At first I was like 'seven husbands' how is this possible - but as I learnt about Evelyn I soon realised her situation
- You know there's a massive twist right from Monique and Evelyn meeting and I just needed to know what that was!
- Loved the lessons Monique learnt from Evelyn's life and how it was relatable to her current situation
- Quite a unique story!
- Like all her books I feel like it is completely true - I almost want to google Evelyn Hugo

Such a great book!

A rare gem of a book that pulls readers into the life of an inexplicably complex woman. It becomes difficult to read at times, if only because we feel we know Evelyn so deeply throughout her story. In the difficulty of the final pages, though, lies this story’s magic. Reid holds her reader in skilled hands, and somehow makes Evelyn Hugo as unforgettable as if she was a true beloved icon of Hollywood.
