This Viking-inspired fantasy throws you straight onto a haunted, icy highway with Silla—a runaway queen’s target with everything to lose. Loved the gritty atmosphere: think creaking wagons, monster whispers in the snow, and a *seriously* scary assassin on her tail. The Bloodaxe Crew’s banter and loyalties were highlights (Rey’s mysterious past? 👀 *Yes please*).

Silla’s fight for survival hooked me, and the slow-burn romance had tension… but man, Jonas’s vibe took a *hard* turn near the end. His possessiveness felt off and kinda creepy 😬—not my fave. Still, the action-packed chase, dark fairy-tale twists, and that cliffhanger ending have me grabbing Book 2! A frostbitten, adrenaline-fueled ride."
