This was my first darker fantasy read and I really enjoyed it. There were some parts that truly shocked me, and there were great twists in the plot and with the characters. I wasn’t sure how the romance aspect would tie in, but it was well done in my opinion. I love that the book had a map, pronunciation guide, AND a glossary. I’m intrigued to see where the series goes next.

This book is so slow paced and the main character is one of the most annoying characters that I've read. I really tried to finish this book but it's just so boring and annoying

Great disability rep but I found most of the characters apart from Hekla to be kind of insufferable. 

Also hate when authors use "Sunshine" as a nickname.
