for me kitchen wasn't really emotional instead it was moonlight shadow. i feel like i'm deeply attached to the characters in moonlight shadow especially satsuki; the protagonist.
the pain, the grieving, is so hurtful to imagine.

I just loved this novella. Unlike other Japanese books I have read where everyone seems emotionally unconnected, this is a story of love and loss in which the author lyrically and beautifully described a full range of emotions. What I liked best is that I always felt like I was ready Haiku. Not that it followed the syllabic pattern but the style of language was reminiscent of Haiku.

Una lectura conmovedora, capaz de tocar puntos sensibles si se ha experimentado un duelo por pérdidas. La narrativa es sencilla y las dos historias que se presentan son fáciles de leer. Los personajes adoptan un rol muy entrañable y en algún punto te llegas a identificar con las formas de ser de alguno.
