The Way I Am Now by Amber Smith review! Forst of all, massive thank you to Rock the Boat for sending me a proof and massive apologies that this is SO late!

I absolutely loved The Way I Used to Be in January of this yesr ao it feels really nice and round in a way, to be finishing off the year with The Way I am Now.

In this book we get to see Eden after the end of the first book as she is going to college. This book is really heavy throughout but it is expected as we see Eden dealing and going theough having to testify in court about her sexual assault from book 1. We also get to see Josh as well as Eden and Josh’s relationship which made me happy ss when I read the previous book I loterally said Right Person Wrong Time, and I loved seeing these two together despite all the challenges they face.

I absolutely loved this book and it did make me really emotional throughout, the ending left me feeling a bit bittersweet thiugg and I do hope that there will be a book 3, just because I really want to know what Eden’s life is like in the future, especially after what happens in Part 4 of the book! (Trying really hard to make this review spoiler free here!)

I am giving The Way I am Now 4.5 stars and I have actually managed to order a signed personalised copy from the US which my friend is bringing over in January which I am super excited about! - I mean if someone telling you they ordered a copy from across the ocean because they love the writing so much doesnt entice you to resd it as well as the review then I don’t know what will 🤔

This is the sequel we knew we needed.
Seven years after the release of The Way I Used To Be, author Amber Smith is sharing more of Eden's story.
Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada for my gifted copy for review.
The Way I Am Now picks up with Eden and Josh reuniting, and working on a relationship. They're attending college in a different town, with new challenges and opportunities.
Looming in the dark wings, though, is Eden's hearing for the sexual assault we read about in The Way I Used To Be.
The characters are the same, but they've grown, matured.
Some plot points remain a bit up in the air, but personally I'm hoping that means we as readers will be privvy to another book someday!
For readers of The Way I Used To Be - absolutely recommended!
 For release on Nov. 7.
