First time reading this author and wanted to love this book, but I felt it was a bit underwhelming. I liked the relationship between Juan and Molly but the information was very repetitive across the first few chapters and felt too cozy, in that the plot wasn’t moving along.

Further, in regard to the character of Molly—She said several times that she has difficulty understanding actions of others and takes things literally, and even was bullied throughout her life from this. It made me feel compassion for her character but also felt like the author utilized that as a plot point for poor mystery and suspense in the book, because it was extremely obvious what was happening in the book from early on.
