The key message from this book is to build a business where only few (or only you) sellers exists while many people wants it desperately. To achieve that, you need "manipulate" your prospects to always get exposed by your products and understand the benefits, then you must take the yes signals so you can right away close the deal.

Life is filled with fundamental truths. These truths are sometimes beautiful, sometimes bleak, sometimes clear, sometimes obtuse.

When it comes to business it’s fundamental truths are too often obscured by competing theories that can be shrouded in complexity, and varying degrees of technical density. Additionally, mechanisms of fruitful business are often made more obtuse by myths, anomalies and the vagaries of competing egos.

It is with all this in mind that I bring focus to ‘Oversubscribed’ as a book which manages something almost akin to sorcery. For it manages to uncover and elaborate many of the fundamental truths of the most successful businesses — the ones that thrive in the modern world. Not only that but it also manages to clarify and classify the various aspects of these core truths. It does so in a way the reader can absorb at an explicit level, breakdown and apply to their own business enterprises.

Thus ‘Oversubscribed’ can be described as a masterpiece of entrepreneurial based writing. In my humble opinion it should be classed among the best business books ever written.

I found this book easy to digest and it's flow and construction great for referencing in an accessible manner.

Not very original, informative, or actionable.

Some really actionable insights in here and some excellent guidelines on growing your business. I'd have liked more on transitioning between freelancing and a growth business but presumably that's a book I'll have to write if I manage to do it! Engaging and some concrete ideas I'm putting into place immediately.
