What a fast-paced, go from page one, book. I started this book one night before bed prepared to just read a chapter or two and before I knew it, I was at 50% read and only stopped because I couldn't hold my eyes open any more. So much happens and there are so many suspects that I didn't really figure it out until moments before the reveal. One downside for me was that there was very little character development as this was a more plot driven book. The main character wasn't all that likeable but equally you didn't focus on her as much as you did what was happening. The whole thing read like an episode of Law and Order or some sort of crime procedural tv show. Definitly a must read if you want an action packed, quick read. Just don't think too hard about it once you've finished or it will lose some of its shine.
I enjoyed it for the most part, it was easy to speed through. I feel like this book was written to be one of those netflix shows you watch and then forget about a week later. The writing is good, the storyline is good, even if a little predictable. It definitely won't be your favourite thriller but you'll get the enjoyment out of it when you need it.

An enjoyable read but not what I was expecting from my previous experiences reading Sarah Alderson's books. I guess this was more along the vibes of THE WEEKEND AWAY than THE STALKER, and I was hoping for more feels like THE STALKER.
IN HER EYES was good but maybe a bit more suspense than thriller. The beginning takes a while to kick off and then when the life-changing burglary does happen on the page, there's still a lot of slow moving follow-up that happens after that. The incident itself is a small portion of the book, unlike a book like MY DARLING HUSBAND by Kimberly Belle (which I couldn't help but compare it to).
There was a twist (or two) but it just really didn't hit the way I wanted it to. I don't always need a twist in a thriller, but because it was present, I just didn't love the way it all played out. There weren't enough breadcrumbs for parts of it and then other parts made themselves known but it was a little clunky and didn't quite feel natural and free-flowing.
A decent, solid read but not one I'd rush to recommend! Likely depends on your thriller and suspense preferences.

My mind has been BLOWN! Loved this book! The ending left me second guessing everything. Loved this book. I am now a huge fan of Sarah Alderson!

I REALLY wanted to give this four stars, but I just couldn’t. I liked it a lot in the beginning but it was all downhill from there and it never really peaked like I felt it should have. The ending was not that great and just seemed too over the top. There were also too many loose ends left untied. I could say more but not without spoilers, so I’ll just leave it at a solid three stars and move on.

Not horrible but I don't see myself ever recommending this or remembering it for very long

Not bad but not that good either. Kept me hooked and guessing but didn't like the twists and how they wrapped up. I don't see myself ever recommending this book or remembering the plot for very long
Moderate: Death, Drug abuse, Drug use, Blood
Right from the start this twisty thriller begins. Didn’t wait a few chapters in like most thrillers which i really liked.
This story was definitely a gripping twisty thriller. I was so engrossed in this story that I read the book in one sitting. The characters were real and fully developed. Though I never really liked any of them except June andI never trusted any of them. I felt like I was in the story with them as I felt everything they felt.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great mystery with interesting characters and lots of plot twists.
