This is a great psychological thriller, which started off very fast paced and exciting, therefore, really drawing me in. As the book went on, it kept my attention, even when it slowed down a little. I didn't really gel with any of the characters, but they all played their part in this suspenseful drama. Lucy, Aidan, Connor and Kieron brought us a good story, with a very surprising ending, which left me a bit shocked. The book has a lot of twists and turns, secrets and omg moments, which kept me engrossed. Great read!

I like this author and the format how the book with the POV’s. I liked how the plot intertwined and the writing was good and made me feel as crazy as our main character was feeling.

The first two hundred pages alone are about secrets and more secrets and a hint of lies. I almost give it up. I mean can a family has so many secrets. Then again, I am already halfway through and keeping my faith that the book is worthwhile. I’m glad I finished it and put all the mysteries to rest.
I was too focused on the mystery that I had put aside my empathy for what the story was all about. Or maybe I wasn’t hooked enough.

I love Louise Jensen's thrillers, they really do keep you turning the page to find our what happened and this was no exception. This kept me on edge throughout, I love the way she writes because it isn't unrealistic situation. There is always a larger question in this book how far would you go for your children? Anyone with children know this protective instinct already. This plot wasn't predictable but some parts like Aidan's affair and the resedential were however the rest were just plot twist after plot twist. I think out of all the books I have read of hers this was the one that kept me on edge the most (although it is not my favourite of hers) really good, highly recommend for those who love a thriller and a slow build up. Raises awareness to mental health/health issues parents going through a child illness vice versa, so much packed into. Loved it!
