This book was weird. I almost gave up half way thru cause I felt like it wasn't going anywhere. I usually give books 100 pages or so to see if I want to finish. It's so short I decided to keep going and I'm glad I did. It did get to the point and it was a sad one. It was thought provoking enough to be mildly interesting, but I will probably forget this book aside from my overall feeling of "it was weird" by next week.

I didn’t really think it was going to be about being a bug

I only truly enjoyed the Metamorphosis. i found most of his stories to have too many misogynistic undertones.

I don’t think it’s fun to be a woman around him

Kafka has this dark, mysterious way of writing that kept me hooked from start to finish. It’s like I want to know more, I need to understand. Why, what happened, what were you going through when you wrote all these? And more importantly - what did all these stories mean to you?

Metamorphosis and Other Stories will surely be one of the books I will re-read as I grow older and interpret in different ways through different seasons.
