It felt good to see the characters that started it all for me in the Shadowhunter world. Unfortunately, I didn’t really care for this as much as I thought I would have. The characters seemed off and it didn’t read like the rest of Cassandra Clare books. It felt more like it was written by a fan of the world than the actual series author. I didn’t feel the same connection with this novella like when I read the TMI series or watched the movie. Overall, it was a nice read but I won’t read it again, I will save that for the different series in the Shadowhunter world. I am almost finished with the Infernal Devices but haven’t read The Dark Artifices or The Last Hours series yet so maybe I might give this another try after rereading TMI and reading the other series to see if I still feel the same way.

This was suuuuuper cute. Simon and Izzy are such goals that I want to reread Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy lol. And dang I bet the Red Scrolls Of Magic is gonna be great. I gotta get on that.
