A great fun nonfiction book that explains why Pluto was a planet and now it is not. The tone is very whimsical while still being filled with lots of good information. I really liked how the author used the idea of continuous study of Pluto allowed people to discover it wasn't a planet but something else and new.

A short, accessible review of Pluto's discovery, new status, and most recent developments. Ends with a who's who and a glossary.

A good explanation of the dilemma astronomers faced as more information about Pluto was discovered.
This book was on a Space.com recommended reading list.

I read this book to my four year old niece last night before bed, and I thought it was so well done!
