This was a much better read than the last one in the series. I loved the use of grumpy and sunshine, forced proximity and enemies to lovers tropes, and found Rhys really endearing. Sam was okay but she was often played for laughs, which got old until about the last third of the book. This was a well done story though, and I thought the chemistry between the two leads was great. Rhys' backstory relating to his mother made me very emotional. There were a lot of heavier themes in this one compared to the rest of the series. I found the inclusion of the final epilogue a little too extra - it was unnecessary and didn't add to the story in my opinion.
