Clair Danes did a great job with the narration on this book. It took a while for me to actually start this book, but I'm glad I did. Atwood's descriptions painted an excellent picture of what this terrible life must have been like. Still a great book, though! I will definitely reread this one.

Couldn't put it down

I usually don't read dystopian novels, but The Handmaid's Tale kept me riveted. Definitely worth the read as a caricature of today's social and political trends

I really liked this. I think it’s a solid dystopian - one of the best I’ve read.
However it doesn’t live up to the hype. I think it’s overhyped anyway.
It’s a very white middle-class branch of feminism. 
The character work however was amazing and I was genuinely worried for our main character.
