This book was in the ebook set for He’s Off Limits - A Brothers Best friend anthology.
If you like books about spoiled man children then the MC Jason might just be the one for you. He’s Tessa’s brother Cade’s best friend - is rich, entitled and has never had a job. He’s suffering a crisis not wanting to work in the family company and wants to strike out on his own but he doesn’t have the gumption or the cash to do it (everything is paid for by Mummy and Daddy). When Cade moves he asks Jason to keep an eye on his sister Tessa and her 4 yo daughter. Tessa has had a pretty rough trot and misses (ergo has relied on) Cade for pretty much everything, so she’s not really coping on her own.
This is a fun book and it’s one of those ones where it doesn’t really become clear when these two’s feelings morph into interest for one another. There’s a connection Jason has always had with Tessa’s daughter and there is the sense he’s viewing Tessa with new eyes.
I’m a bit cynical and think it’s more Tessa had all the hearts in her eyes and Jason likes being revered and she was the closest thing and didn’t need too much effort being out in. And Tessa is a little needy for my tastes and needs to strike out a bit in her own.
Best character by far is Tessa’s friend Paige who has some of the best one liners in the book. More stars for her than the romance…. Except the last couple of chapters which made it for me.

I loved this book! I didn't think anyone could best Cade from Caged in Winter and didn't believe everyone who told me Jason would. But they were right! I highly recommend these books. If you're a fan of New Adult romances and aren't reading these books, you are most definitely missing out. My only hope is that there might be another book in this series and finally get to see Paige and Adam together.

When Tessa older brother takes a job in a different city he ask his childhood best friend to
check in on his sister and niece. Jason and Tessa have always been friends but with her
brother now gone they have become close and he is seeing her differently. Tessa thinks he is
the opposite of what she needs but quickly realizes he's exactly what she needs. Jason will
drop anything for her and loves her daughter. His family causes issues but in the end he
realizes that Tessa & her daughter is the family he's been missing. While Tessa & Jason have
on & chemistry there's no denying that the quickest way to a moms heart is watching the
love someone has for your child. Jason is a natural with Tessa daughter. There is no ulterior
motives he just loves her and shows it in his actions. Tessa & Jason enjoy the little things
together and while they have issues they are definitely soulmates. I loved this book and think
it's a great book to pick up when you need a good happy ending with some spice. I cannot
wait to check out more of Brighton Walsh's books!

Jason is so crazy swoony. I loved watching his story with Tessa unfold. Fun book.
I've heard nothing but good things about Brighton Walsh's books, so I was excited to read this one, especially since I love the sibling's best friend/best friend's sibling tropes. It did not disappoint! I loved these characters.
I received this book free through Goodreads First Reads.
