Beatriz is just what the world needs right now! She was an independent woman that didn’t settle!!

A solid follow up to the first book. The plot felt slow at first, but definitely picked up the pace about halfway through.

When We Left Cuba is a love story of all sorts doomed from the start. Beatrix is a girl fighting for what she wants and is not conforming to society's rules much to her mother's despair. She is 100% driven and I love that about her.

My biggest complaint is that I wanted more of a story for her. It felt like the majority of the book focused on her doomed love affair with the senator more than her revenge for her twin. The final chapters gave us a hint of what her life was like after the story ended...and honestly, I would have loved to read more of that.

Desde el momento en el que la autora piensa que Pérez es un apellido poco común en latinoamérica como para reconozcan a tu familia en todos lados, sorry, pero no funcionó para mí. Y eso es muy al principio del libro :(

Beatrice Perez is not really believable. The fact that the CIA trusts someone who is so emotionally attached to seeking revenge makes is very unrealistic. This makes her more unreliable as an asset. Not less.

Every stressful situation is solved or medicated with sex. Tasteful sex but still.... It became irritating.
