This was so fun to read. I have never read any graphic novels before and didn't really know where to start. I found this at the library and figured that The Graveyard Book and Neil Gaiman would be a safe place to begin. Each chapter is by a different illustrator and I loved that aspect. I am so glad that I tried something new!

A beautifully illustrated adaptation of the YA novel of the same name. I haven't read the novel yet, but on the virtue of this adaptation I have immediately bought a copy and am reading it as we speak.

I'm a big fan of Neil Gaiman but it's the artists in this adaptation that really shine. Each section is illustrated by a different artist who keep the overall theme of the art going, but still give their own personal flairs to their respective sections. I thought it would disturb me and break the flow, but it did the opposite, instead serving to highlight differences in the narrative.

All in all, a pleasant surprise and I'm hanging out with great anticipation for Volume II!

Yep. I like this version so much more than the actual novel. I love the art! Especially how each chapter features a different artist's work. Such a cool idea, and done in a way that doesn't detract from the story.

Although, I don't remember Silas being a Dracula-like figure, but who knows... it's been 6 years since I read the novel.

This is such a charming story! Now to get my hands on the second half.

It was ok-ish. I did like some parts, but most of the time I was bored and I wanted to be over with this story so even though I have a see Volume 2 borrowed from the library I am not going to continue with the story. I wasn't a big fan of the art either.
