There was nothing overtly wrong with this book, or anything that would turn me off it. I love the original story. I guess this just wasn't compelling enough for me to read straight through. I set it down for a while and it took some persuading to get back into.

This works almost better in comic format. The book struck me as a touch disjointed but that fits into episodic issues well.

I went in not having a clue what this was about and I loved it! The illustrations were awesome and I loved the story. I now have to get the next volume!

The dead should have charity.

Great version of this book. You lose a little of the description, but for the most part the illustrators make up for that. And having a different artist draw every chapter makes it that much entertaining, as they all add their own flair.

Lovely, of course. The art enhances the story, shading it darker and more sinister. I really like Gaiman's watcher characters, like Silas in this book and Dream in Sandman. I also like his understanding of children. He really is just one of the very best storytellers, ever.

I just finished it. My librarian said it had references to 'The Jungle Book'; however, I didn't pick anything up cause I have yet to read 'The Jungle Book'.
Otherwise, the book was okay.

I’m not a huge graphic novel fan, but I did enjoy this! Perfect for this time of year!
