informative inspiring fast-paced

If you love Hamilton, you MUST read this from cover to cover. The pictures alone are worth checking out, but all the stories and LMM's footnotes just make this powerful musical almost doubly so.

A really cool read on the musical taking everything by storm. I haven't heard any of the music to this musical yet but I'll definitely check it out after reading this. It was awesome to read all of the little tidbits of information on certain lines by Lin-Manuel Miranda. It's really a unique concept to the stage.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love Hamilton. This book had so many funny and moving moments that will make watching the show so much better.

a really cool insight into the making of this iconic musical! non-fiction isn't really my taste, but with the inside looks into every song, the gorgeous pictures and lin's notes along the lyrics for every song, it reeled me right in. i would definitely suggest that any Hamilton fan read this!
medium-paced

That was so great I learned sm and got emotional during parts and danced and sung but the notes on the songs were so insightful and it was just all so interesting and informative like woah, gasp, waiitttt, duudeee that's sick, etc. I enjoyed this experience.

Like being a fly on the wall... Thoroughly enjoyed the look behind the curtain. Miranda is brilliant!
funny lighthearted

I don't attend live theater very often and when I do get to go it is usually a production sponsored by the university for whom I work. Having said that, it is a testament to this libretto that I have heard about it, followed the news about it, and mourn about the fact that I was never able to and will never be able to see it performed by the original cast.

This story touched me emotionally, at my core, as it does most people that come in contact with it. The fusion of the past with the present brings home some hard truths. We, as a nation, still struggle with decision-making, compromise, looking at life through a different lens or, if you prefer, putting ourselves in another person's shoes.

I read the lyrics; I read Mr. Miranda's footnotes; I read Mr. McCarter's supplemental stories; and then, I listened to the performances via the soundtrack while I read along again. I was blown away.

Just phenomenal. Since I won't be affording any Hamilton tickets any time soon, this book -savored with YouTube assist on the songs - was as good as it gets. And it was good. I read the actual Ron Chernow tome that inspired the musical (funny, I'm not brilliant so it didn't scream "this would be an amazing musical" to me) and I still was blown away by the brilliance that is Lin Manual Miranda. Genius, absolutely clear. Some parts made me cry given the resonance with our current national crisis, but this work of art is amazing.
