This book snuck up on me, I was enjoying Callie and Ridge’s story, but then I could not put it down!

Ridge is the PERFECT book boyfriend! While they are both shy at the start, time lets them bloom. The patience, protection, and flirty texts show a side, that only Callie gets to see. He allows her to grow, trust, build her confidence, and lead the way to their relationship. I enjoyed every page, and was sorry to have the story end.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

There is something about a book where the main female character escapes a cult or a toxic community, especially because it takes a special guy to love a women escaping that, and to meet the girl where they are and not to push, and this book is that exactly. Ridge and Callie have such a cute, sweet romance build up and once Callie becomes comfortable that’s when it gets spicy.

I loved that this book didn’t have a third act break up, or any conflict at all between the main two characters, instead the conflict was all external, and filled with the perfect amount of drama. Callie really found a home and a family with all of her friends and Ridge who all treat her wonderfully, and help her learn about true romantic and platonic love! Such a great book, enjoyed every second of it!

After living her life on a compound, Callie decides she has had enough and risks her life by fleeing. She finds her way to Knox Creek where she is determined to live the life the way that she wants to.

Ridge was sooooo sweet and swoon worthy. He was there for Callie as she discovered herself and never pushed her too far. He was obsessed, possessive and so protective of her. The amount of respect he gave her and demanded for her was what she needed to grow comfortable on what she deserved.

Sweet innocent Callie by the end of the book so she was such a strong amazing woman. I loved that she was open to learning new things and was determined to spread her wings and be free.

Their connection was so strong and I loved watching them as they progressed in their relationship. Their love is something truly magical!

Ridge is almost too good to be true!

Leave it to Harloe to give us a slow burn story that will have you laughing as much as blushing once that fire hits.

Callie lived a sheltered life, and watching her escape it and become who she’s meant to be is a beautiful thing to watch.

Ridge knew from the minute he saw Callie that she was special, now all he has to do is be patient until she realizes it too.

These two are total opposites but somehow they just fit.  This is a great summer read, not a lot of angst, no third act breakup, just two people figuring out what’s most important.

Ridge and callies story gave me all the feels. I devoured this book in a few days. A great read.

Callie was such a sweetheart! And Ridge has all the alpha-male characteristics we love. Ridge’s protective love gave Callie the confidence to open up into the beautiful woman she wanted to be, and following their story was so satisfying. This book was super spicy, and packed with innuendos. Other things I lovedβ€” the lack of 3rd act breakup and that twist towards the end. I’ll never regret reading this authors work and I always highly recommend her!
