True to form for most of the "Live Girls" anthologies I've read, this one had its share of stinkers and gems. Some were predictably trite and cliche, some genuinely touching and thought-provoking. Indeed, the whole concept of the book got me thinking about the histories of all of my own complicated and changing friendships with the women in my life.

Mostly good stories, but this collection would have been stronger to include more stories with positive endings, rather than so many female friendships that met unfortunate ends.
