I like this series. It's simple and makes me think of Harry Potter now and then, but I think this one is better for a younger audience. It's got some complex ideas, cool abilities for its characters, and some fun characters to read about. It does get dark at times, but it's described in a way that makes it so I think most kids would be okay with it. Overall, it's a fun, imaginative world that I enjoy reading about.
