It's not harry Potter, really it's not! The young boy with the mean relatives only lost ONE of his parents in a mysterious car accident, and he's not a wizard, he's endowed, and the kids at the mysterious bording school get to go home for weekends... ok, it is kind of Harry Potter, or riding that bandwagon, anyway, but it's different, too. It's got a bit more of a mythic feel. Anyway, it was interesting enough that I'll be reading volume #2.
I understand the Harry Potter comparisons, but it's like comparing the flour and sugar in my cupboard to freshly baked cookies. Sure, the ingredients are there, but without someone who knows how to put them together, what does it matter?

I absolutely adored this book. It was fun, fast and completely engaging. I read it in less than a day and could not get enough! I am so looking forward to reading the next book. The only thing I did not like about this book was that I kept reading it as Charlie Boone instead of Charlie Bone, otherwise this was absolutely amazing.
Very bad, very obvious Harry Potter rip off. Do not bother.
