The book is still amazing.
I loved Jude's narration, however the actor playing Noah CANNOT do accents. And there are at least two rather ambitious accents put forward by the actress which the actor couldn't even begin to replicate.

I love this book!
It's been three years since I read it and I had forgotten a lot of the storyline, so it was such a treat to read again.
The writing is so artistic and wonderful, especially from Noah's point of view.
Even though this is quite a chunky book for a contemporary it's so quick to fly through

I really enjoyed this story and found myself talking out loud to the book from time to time. I felt like this was a coming of age story that I had not yet read. Some of it was predictable, but still very enjoyable.
If you listen to the audio, be prepared that the readers do a great job with narrating the main characters, but the supporting characters often sound fake or forced.

One of my favorite books in the entire universe. <3 <3 <3
Madre mía. Le daría todas las estrellas habidas y por haber a este libro. He muerto de amor con este libro infinitas veces. Ay <3
The writing in this book is gorgeous. It's a character-driven story that touches on grief, shame, love, and creativity. The LGBTQ rep was beautiful. A must read.

Gorgeous. It's got a gay kid, magical realism, the ocean, and art. What more could you want?
I'll Give You The Sun by @jandy.nelson is not only a beautiful book in its physical form, it sat deep with me and instilled values to second chances and coming clean for me.
The sweetwine twins once inseparable go through love, loss, jealousy, separation only to come together after a journey that defines them forever. That journey, the first half in Noah s view, the second in Jude s is what this pretty book is all about. Oh yes, its all about love too!
Noah has a penchant for art and for boys. He is open about the first and wants to get into an art school. He s shy about the second but loves Brian. Jude is exactly opposite. Being their mother s 'That Girl' she s inti boys but is not appreciated for her art. She feels distanced from the mother- Dianne.
On a day she loses her virginity in an awful experience, she loses her mother too and blames herself. Noah is discovered with Brian by Dianne but then discovers she is having an affair with Guillermo Garcia a rockstar sculptor. He accuses her but she dies in an accident. Now Noah too blames himself.
.
Complexity and lies arise as Guillermo is now Jude s mentor in the art school Noah wanted to attend. Jude throws away his applications.
.
The story comes a full circle is Oscar s character and the owing up of secrets of the fraternal twins.
.
This book is so much about mending of broken people that it gave a bit of the sun no doubt
