It definitely took me a little while to get into because it was a tad confusing on audiobook, but once I finally did…I couldn’t stop listening! I love Harley so much and I love how she’s portrayed. It’s very interesting to see her origin take place in modern day instead of 30 years ago and I loved it.
My favorite part is that this is 100% a Harley Quinn story. I was a bit worried at first because, as much as I love him, I was nervous is was going to turn into a Batman/Batfam story. But there was only off-handed comments about him, and same for joker! It wasn’t a Joker story either, even if he had some scenes and mentions.
I cannot wait for book 2!

After how much I disliked the Black Canary book of this series, I was barely willing to give this one a chance, but it was actually quite good. Fun characters, worthy plot, loved the feminist and inclusive messaging. Harley’s rage made sense and it was a rage I understood.
