Ahhhh this was so lovely! A sweet story of teen lesbian growth and high school friendships. Mariko Tamaki is a wonderful writer, and the art of Rosemary Valero-O’Connell is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. When this comes out go read it!!

Oh boy, did this remind me of my teen years..

Super refreshing LGBT love story, that felt more everyday and relatable. The art style was absolutely adorable and I loved the cast. A tad predictable, but still worth a read if you ask me!

Okay so I do have to say that the art style in this comic is beautiful, however storytelling wise I feel like it had so much more to offer and explore, not only with Freddy’s character but also with all the other side characters, like Buddy and Eric had that one fight that seemed like it was heading to be a plot line but it was just never brought up again. I think that while it is a very realistic portrayal of toxic relationships, it lacks a bit of character depth and just storylines overall??? idk how to word that properly but yeah
