Such an incredible family saga with magical realism. The only reason why I didn't rate it 5 stars is because the ideology of the author is painfully on the nose but wow, this story cautivated me from page one. Super interesting to read knowing about Chilean history and other latin american realities.

So close to a 5, there were just some gratuitous scenes that I felt didn’t add to the characters portrayed in them.
