I did not like the characters- they were both deeply flawed and their love story couldn’t make up for it. The end was probably the best part. And Iris. It also reminded me too much of my life so it was hard to read.

4.5/5*
Adult romance at its best, with messy families and swoon-worthy romance
(Read in audiobook)
Honestly, this could've been a favorite, it just lack that hint of a spark I usually search for!
I loved both our protagonist. Jaded and abrasive Delilah, with her awful past, her aloofness hiding her trampled heart, and her passion for photography. Claire felt more grounded, probably because I could relate a little bit more to her, with her anxiousness, how fiercely she protects her friends, and how much she just WANTS to matter for someone other than her (adorable) daughter.
Speaking of her daughter, the supporting cast is nicely nuanced, and I'm looking forward to following the other girls in their own books! The men and mother were (mostly) trash, and hey, that tracks.
I felt especially touched by the sisters' struggles, and how their awful childhood had driven them apart, without either of them being an asshole. Nuance, in my queer romance? Hell yeah.
The scenes flowed nicely, the writing style was the perfect balance between descriptive and quip-y, and the smut was sprinkled in just the right amount!
Overall, a great romance read <3

A cosy queer romcom. I had fun
so well written! very balanced and realistic story but not boring— author does drama and miscommunication really well (as in it didn't annoy me to read it)! the main couple (and other characters too) had great chemistry and interesting arcs that really had my heart aching... they felt so real and relatable and im so glad they get their happy endings. i enjoyed and admired this book a lot!

This was such a fun read. Both lighthearted and deep, it tells a wonderful story of female friendship, queer love, and how family is what we make it to be.

absolutely loved this! the characters, plot, pacing…everything was so well done. Overall such a beautifully put together queer love story. I really appreciate the bi representation, the parenting/co-parenting aspect and navigating relationships with children. I am really picky with my romance books and I need more than just two people coming together and this absolutely has so much more than just that!
