I really tried to like this book but the writing was not good and I didn’t care for the main character. Another booktok suggestion that had lead me astray.

Such a sweet little romcom with some heavy themes--feelings of abandonment and not fitting in, the overwhelming pressure to be perfect, hiding your true self to fit another's perception of you, etc. It's the perfect balance of meet-cute, overcoming childhood traumas, sisterhood, and spiciness.

Even better--it's based in Oregon so I was immediately sold.

AND it's a series?? Yessssss!

I'm absolutely invested now in Bright Falls and all of its quirky inhabitants. While the love story between Delilah and Claire was the main focus, I really loved the female friendships and Delilah's healing as she starts letting people in.

This was the perfect way to start a vacation ❤️
