Much like the first book in the series, I enjoyed this one alot. The plot mechanism was the same but still fun.
The spice was spicing!

The insta love and lack of layers in August irked (hence the 1 star off).

I have a feeling the rest of the series will continue with the same formula...still going to read them!

Did I like the first one better cus it hit right at my kinks? Well yes, this one was still enjoyable thought, they are both absolute fucking nerds, it's adorable.
I fucking adore reading about unhinged people it's honestly kinda therapeutic???? Also just really fun

If ever a murdering psychopath could be a cinnamon roll it would be August. He and Lucas are just damn adorable, despite all of the darkness surrounding them.

So this book was a lot more fun to listen to and Lucas and August were both delightfully funny. I wasn't expecting the psychic element but it was pretty good. Good side snack to listen to.

A twisted, yet oddly heartwarming, lovestory about a psychopath imprinting like a duckling on a clairvoyant man who happens to need help getting revenge against a serial killer.

Due to the clairvoyance element in this book, the subject matter may be even darker than the first book, because one of the MCs can relive some of the horrible crimes and describe them from his POV. However, the dark humor in this book, especially from August and the returning Mulvaneys, continued to make me laugh out loud.

6 stars for the psycho and the psychic

August and Lucas. Lucas and August. To say I was hooked on this story is a dramatic understatement. I could barely put it down. I don't know what it says about me that I related to August Mulveny in a way I rarely have connected to another character in a great deal of some time, but that's for me and my therapist to unpack. So far I've been pretty hooked on this entire series and unless something wacky happens with Atticus I don't see that obsession waiting until this series is over.
I've not connected to a series so aggressively in a while and until something else catches my attention, I'm leaving into it.
