Weirdo, quirky, professor. Three words that definitely describe August Mulvaney but also sweetheart, psychopath, killer. Lucas and August were cute but I just didn’t love this book as much as I loved Unhinged. The story was really good, fast-paced and funny with dark humour. And the banter between a group of psychopath killers is hilarious.

August sure moves fast.
I loved seeing crumbs of Adam & Noah in this book. I hope to see more of them in the rest.

I loved the chemistry between the two protagonist and I loved every minute of it. It was sweet and funny and one of the best books I've read.

I WISH my professors were half as lax as the protagonists of this book

Beware: do not drink anything while reading this book because August’s dry humor may have you inhaling cranberry juice straight into your lungs. Not fun.

God, I am obsessed with this series. I continue to adore Adam and Noah, and I’m so glad we got to see more of them in this book. Adam is so babygirl. I just love him so much, and my sweet baby Noah. They’re so perfect that even August wanted what they have.

August and Lucas were fire together. Their chemistry and spicy scenes were off the charts hot. I’m not usually a fan of supernatural/paranormal themes but Lucas’s clairvoyance was actually a very interesting plot point and I love the way Onley James tied it into the story with Kohn.

Every scene where all the Mulvaney boys get together is perfection. I love them all so much, even grouchy Atticus and crazy Archer and creepy Avi and Asa. And of course wonderful Adam and Noah, and beautiful Calliope. I hope we get more scenes with August and Lucas in the following books.

This was heavily plot driven in such a way that it took from the amount of time the author was supposed to give the romance between Lucas and August but given the timeline for a generous series of events i get it. I’m not going to get tired of the banter between the mulvaney brothers and Noah. And the way Noah fit into their family so well? Adore that for him.
August and Lucas are definitely not my favorite but I did enjoy this too much to give the book anything less than 4 stars but keep in mind that my rating is heavily based on the dark themes of the story not the romance.
