Unfortunately, this fell flat for me and I felt nothing but BOREDOM the entire time I was reading it. It felt like a boring replica of the first book which was annoying because the plot had so much potential. Lucas could have been more interesting as an ex FBI agent teaming up with a psychopath serial killer. Reading about the insta-love and possessiveness in Adam's book was intriguing. This one was just redundant. I Couldn't even give it three stars because I wasn't able to feel invested to even care.

Rounding up a bit on my score bc I did not love the narration and think that maybe detracted a bit from my enjoyment of the story. This was the brothers story I wanted the most so I was pleased he was paired with someone interesting though the portrayal of a professor working at an Ivy Leage w a Secretary hurt to hear.

I don't know how I feel about this. Am I throughly entertained? Yes, the book is not horrible per se. The book is funny😂😂 their obliviousness to social ques dusted me Pls 😂😂😂
but I'm struggling to wrap my head around certain things. like, for example, the author would state that Agust is a psychopath and then have him act in a way that is opposite to what was initially stated, it kind of short circuits my brain cause at the end of the day, he technically can't properly feel emotions, lacks empathy, cannot love so what then is it that he feels for Lucas?
Still had the same issue with certain scenes that are supposed to be the climax falling flat, like I wish the writer had built up the tension maaan, like keep us at the edge of our seats typa ish.
Favorite part was when Lucas dropped his shields to feel what August feels during tlof tlof YESSSSSS 😭🔥🤌🏾‼️ mara that knife play lebo Vampire Ish with the blood😬✋🏾 hai hai hai...

This man had me kicking my feet and having butterflies! The way he just said shit and didn’t mean for it to be romantic but was so effortlessly romantic was INSANE!
I loved Lucas and his gift! It was so cool to see that brought into play!
