3.5. This book took a dark billionaire psychopath vigilante Batman Dexter series and made it PARANORMAL. Just wild. Just like the last book, the characters fell instantly in love, but their romance was sweet and genuine enough to ground the book amidst the drama and very dark plot. As a friend mentioned, August is basically a wild, "dangerous" animal that follows you home one day and stays forever. Fun stuff.

Okay fine this one was good. I absolutely loved August, he was so funny and I loved how honest he was all the time. I also enjoyed their dynamic a lot more than the first book because it felt like they suited each other more.
But I have a bone to pick with Onley because you went and teased me with August being a sub, dangled the carrot in front of me, and then I barely get three scenes????? The amount I was looking forwards to August being a sub and I barely got anything ðŸ«
