A re-read! So excited to be reading this series again. Wow, so awesome. You can really tell that the author's writing has improved more. Some times the POV change is a bit confusing, but I still really enjoy this. Not only enjoyable, but funny!!

While I can hardly be objective about a book that was so formative to my elementary-school-aged self, this wonderfully constructed young adult novel is still a delight to adult eyes. Tamora Pierce does a great job introducing new characters and adventures into her existing world, while enriching what came before.
