Cute, fun, mysterious. A great summer read filled with queer joy to bolster your spirits.

probably my least favourite book by casey, but god do i wish i’d had it when i was still in school. it feels lovely and hopeful and i think the inclusion and dedication towards queer southern kids stuck in christian high schools was really beautiful. chloe is a likeable main character, but the side characters (as in all of casey’s books) are what absolutely makes it. smith and georgia you will always be famous 🙏
overall just very lighthearted and above all hopeful. it’s the queer romcom that kids need and deserve and it’s just very lovely to read. the only thing i would’ve wished is that shara got a bit more development, but she was still a great love interest and had a subtle but definite character arc.
