Ok, first of all, this quote is my happy place:

“He grinned at me, shaking his head like I was too much of something wonderful.”

Otherwise, fun book, but it didn’t really have the júj the first one had.

I wasn’t expecting a time jump (and normally I’m not a fan) but it really worked here. The tension and angst when Mona and Abram see each other again 😍

We also get dual POV this time which was amazing and definitely needed. I loved getting into Abram’s head and him coming to terms with Mona hurting him.

Can’t wait for part 3 to see how their story ends!

Once again Penny's writing continues to be amazing and is never a let down when it comes to different voices for her characters and giving us well development characters, and Space was definitely a step up from what Motion was.

But I personally didn't feel any spark and excitement with Mona and Abram, which really majorly sucks. Abram was just too petty for my liking. Like I wasn't really expecting him to be that way and I truly didn't like it and I don't see that pettiness fitting his character especially from who and what we saw in Motion. It was like he took a 180 from Motion to Space. Mona, on the other-hand, was very interesting. I love seeing her get mad and even get drunk. I like seeing different sides to Mona and I truly hope we see more of that in the last book.

Overall, it was still a great and fun read and I did enjoy it. I can't wait to see what happens next and what Penny will do to develop Mona and Abram's relationship.

Side note, I enjoyed Poe's character even though he was only there for one chapter. I'm kind of sad we won't see him in his book. Also, I do kind of wish Laws of Physics was just one big book instead of it being broken into three parts. I think I would just enjoy these characters so much more if I got just one book, but aside from that, I still enjoy what Penny has written.

After [b:Motion|30315695|Motion (Laws of Physics, #1; Hypothesis, #2.1)|Penny Reid|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1541424910s/30315695.jpg|50803906] left me hanging, I could not wait to get my hands on Space! The story picks up over two years later, and my how Abram and Mona have changed.

Space is decidedly less whimsical than the previous book. It makes sense given that both Mona and Abram are nurturing broken hearts, but did Penny Reid have to crush my heart in the process? She’s such a talented devil. I may be sending her my doctor’s bill because the level of stress I experienced can’t be healthy.

Abram is more hardened and the source of a lot of the tension. On the one hand, I had such compassion for him and wanted to give him a good cuddle; on the other hand, I wanted to smack him at times. Mona’s awkwardness is on full display, and I couldn’t love or empathize with her more. She is selfless to a fault.

The lovely setting and an enjoyable cast of supporting characters provide some welcomed levity when needed. Kaitlyn from Laws of Attraction is featured prominently, and I realized just how much I missed her and her love of synonyms. You don’t need to have read the Laws of Attraction series to enjoy this book, but I highly recommend you do at some point. It’s SO very good!

The attraction between Mona and Abram is still palpable and continues to be set to a low simmer. I’m a lover of a good slow burn romance, but I’m more than ready for it boil over! I’m really looking forward to the conclusion of this wonderful series.

The first book in this series was a tad lukewarm for me, I just didn’t love it. Well after reading Space, let me tell you, my thoughts have changed, for the better.

This installment of the series was straight up addictive. I flipped through the pages in record time and then BAM! Another cliffhanger. Holy frijole, I am so stoked to finish this series now. Hurry the hell up part 3! I’m on pins and needles here.

Mona and Abram are killing me.
