Say It’s Forever is the second book in the Redemption Hills series by A.L. Jackson, and is a single parent/ close proximity romance. Jud and Salem struggle to open up, because of the demons from the past the are still battling. Luckily, that fire between them is stronger than they are. This book is a true heart wrenching emotional rollercoaster, complete with drama, angst, suspense, passion, as yes, some laughter just when you need it. All the characters are relatable and engaging, and the kids, Gage and Juni-Bee, are beyond adorable! I’m really loving this series… On to the next!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jud and Salem

I love these Lawson brothers. Jud is just dark and unreadable. Salem is mysterious but there is a pull both feel from the start. She is hiding from a past to protect her and her da. Jud is trying to make a better life. When they both give in to their feelings, their past and secrets come out, and they need to fight for each other and not run. I absolutely loved the beauty of this story. Don't pass up this one.

Second book in the series and second brothers story. Jud is a big, tattooed, muscle man who old the bike garage behind Trent’s bar. He meets single mum Salem when her car breaks down one stormy night. Jud says it as it is and is instantly smitten.
Again the children are the stars of the story JunI Bee who is instantly best friends with Gage and their story is fabulous. Mimi is also a loveable character.
Jud is a generous and kind man but full of darkness and pain and Salem with ghosts of her own can see all of that but can also see his light.
They both have trauma they need to deal with and I loved their relationship development. A twist near the end added to the great storyline.
A fab romance and such a great cast of characters.

Well ladies and gentlemen - AL Jackson does it again. She knocked it out of the park with another Redemption Hills story. I was obsessed with Book 1 from page 1, and I knew that Book 2 was going to be another keeper. Jud and Salem were absolutely devine! From page one of this book, I knew that it would take me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I laughed, I cried, and I soared throughout this whole story. I felt like every interaction of Jud and Salem was woven with a ribbon of intensity and those words just come straight of the page. This book was absolute Black Magic.

This was a great read.

I love an alpha male character especially one that is broken and grumpy! Jud is instantly taken with Salem when he finds her stranded during a storm. Salem is such a strong single mother. She is also very cautious with good reason! She is on the run from her past.

Their chemistry is off the charts! So steamy. They also felt so right for each other. Jud is such a protector and he wants to keep this mother-daughter duo safe from danger. The writing style drew me in and it felt so raw. You can feel the struggle Jud is facing with his inner demons. Salem’s need to keep her daughter safe and yet she is drawn to Jud irrevocably.

Jud’s past tragedy was a twist I didn’t see coming. I am not a huge fan of the second love trope or death of a child. I struggled with that personally.

This was a great addition to the series! Read this if you enjoy…

forced proximity
heroine in danger
tortured alpha hero
single mom
found family
sizzling chemistry

my 16-year-old cousin recommended me this book...

it's about a single mom that can't trust anyone, but ofc just 20 pages in she trusts the hot/overconfident dude. - I skipped a few chapters because I just couldn't be bothered.

these heterosexual relationships are slowly killing me.

The Heart Knows

I absolutely love Jud and Salem's story. It is so heartrenching and heartfelt that you can't help but fall in love with them. Especially Salem and her daughter Junie. Jud and his brothers have moved to redemption for a better life, they have all known a hard life. Salem has been on the run for the Las four years with her daughter, her brother Darius has told her that coming to Redemption would be safe and she can stop running.
There were forces working in the background unknown to Salem or Jud that actually made it dangerous for both of them. The ending was a surprise not at all what I expected. But Jud and Salem fought their feelings for quite a bit of the story.
The audio book went well with reading the book, Joe Arden and Andi Arndt were perfect for the narrators.
