If you like white woman books marketed as a queer love story but that actually center around a woman lamenting about what she could have had with her male ex for couplet after couplet, then this book is for you! It gave compulsory heterosexuality, pretentiousness, and gentrification. Love the idea of a novel told in couplets though.

i like the rhyming and the prose but it just didn't work for me.
i have read a lot of couplets in my life and this doesn't have any impact on me. i did enjoy it but i have read better so 2 ⭐
