My God what a masterpiece; I read the entire thing in once sitting. Though I'm not typically one with a proclivity for poetry, I found the style in which Couplets was written to be as readable as it was elegant, vulnerable, and mesmerizing--yet another example of how queer stories of all kinds can bloom if given adequate, fertile soil and space. The fact that it's Millner's first work is astonishing. Read this book.
Trying to get more into poetry and this was a nice middle narrative to get more familiar with the genre. Quick read.
