'Monsters!& Other Stories' by Gustavo Duarte is a collection of three wordless stories, all with excellent art and gruesomely twists at the end. It's very cartoony, but also a bit gory. I really liked it.

The first story is called Co! and deals with chickens, alien abductions and a regular slob just trying to watch tv and enjoy a drink. The second story, Birds, is about a couple working class birds and the grim reaper. The final story, Monsters! is about an city under invasion by an array of monsters.

All feature twists and turns. All feature great line art. The drawing quality really helps push the wordless stories along. There are some great details in the art, but it's pretty easy to read these all in one setting. It's a bit morbid, but I really enjoyed it.

I was given a review copy of this graphic novel by Diamond Book Distributors and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this unique and funny graphic novel.

There's not much to say about this book other than that it is a brilliant and wonderfully told wordless, duotone book about fear, death, and monsters. If anyone ever argues that you can't have a coherent graphic novel without words, hand them this book. If they continue arguing with you, they aren't a person you need in your life.

Wordless, wonderfully drawn and shaded, full of emotions and expressions, funny. The two birds were my favorite, I think.
