Love the final installment in the Imposter's series. The characters are so loveable and brought to life, they feel like my friends and I'm sad their stories are complete.
While there were some dark themes in the book, Roseanna writes and does them so amazingly. This was one I highly recommend and gave me the best book hangover.

I listened to this in audio form and thought the narrator did great. I thought the mystery and intrigue was well thought out and unfolded nicely. A page turner for me. I liked seeing some of the old characters written into the story. Overall, this story had all the markings of a well written story: solid dialogue, plot, characters, flow. I think it best to be read in order as you could get confused.
The romance part of the book had me guessing as to which path it would go and how'd it end. I thought the wrap up and self reflection and growth in both of the main characters was great.
This does touch on the seedier and depraved side of humanity-forced work in brothels and predator against a child (this wasn't detail more alluded to.) However, not in detail or as a part but not main focus.

Thank you Bethany House for my gifted copy.

A GOOD CONCLUSION.

I have been waiting for Yates story and I found it really beautiful. It’s a soft love triangle with a lot of hard topics and loving humans who help each other move forward when the hard things hit.

The audiobook was great and I loved that format. I enjoyed the mystery of this plot and not quite knowing where it was going to lead. There’s just the right level of theatrics and drama that led to heated tension and memorable kissing scenes.

Seeing all of the old cast was a delight too. I have loved reading about all of these characters and I loved their inclusion into the plot. This was my first series my White and I would love to see what stories she writes next.

Overall audience notes:
- Historical Romance
- Language: none
- Romance: kisses
- Violence: moderate
- Content: murder, attempted murder, sexual abuse, child abuse, gun violence

Absolutely fantastic. I've always known I would like Yates's story, whatever it was, but I was not prepared for how much I would *love* the other characters in this book. Both Lavinia and Alethia are just excellent, and I enjoyed getting to know both of them so much. The romance (and romantic tension) is nicely done, too; it felt realistic and I sympathized with everyone. The plot/premise itself, like this whole trilogy, runs a little heavier than some of White's other novels, grappling with some dark elements, but it's well done and the resolutions are rewarding. Overall, a triumphant conclusion to a fabulous trilogy. Easiest five stars I've given in a while.

Roseanna White's books are consistently good, and this one is no exception!

It does build on the other books in the series, so I recommend reading in order. It could also be termed "the book with all the crossovers"--plenty of characters from other key series appear here, so that was a gem for me (having read them all). Readers unfamiliar with them will just want to make sure and read the author's note at the end for direction on what to read next!

This read keeps up with the quality and tone of the other Imposters installments, as well as what I've generally come to expect with White. She engages with history, theology, and the challenges and joys of life like few other authors, ever encouraging the reader to go "further up and further in."

I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
