This was a cute book.
I liked both Grae and Caden and really liked them together.
The mystery in this book was my favorite in the series so far. In the others I guess who was the bad guy pretty soon, but in this oneI knew that it was one of the guys Grae worked with but I didn't know who.

This was okay and I read it very quickly but there was very little conversation before the fake became real and I really prefer an emotion driven romance over physical. I think the emotions were there but the physical overshadowed it and there just could have been more dialogue. The mystery was different enough from the first two books that it kept it interesting and I still didn’t know who it would be until they stepped on the page. So far Holt and Wren’s story has been my favorite but I’m really looking forward to the last two books in this series.
Content Notes: Multiple open door scenes, some strong language

Glimmers of You by Catherine Cowles
This was a 3.75
Catherine’s books are so addicting! I was super excited to start this one and read about Grae’s story. We have met the baby sister of the Hartley family in the previous books and we already know she is a great friend and a badass.
Grae is trying to ditch a friend who thinks they should be more so in walks Caden, her ex-best friend and brother’s best friend. Caden’s dad wants him to “work on his image” so he figures it would be mutually beneficial for them to “date”.
As someone continues to stalk Grae, Caden & the Hartley’s race to figure out who and keep her safe.
Watching Grae help Caden learn it was okay to love and feel things was amazing. I also was so happy seeing him grow and speak up for himself.
This wasn't my favorite of the series but it was still amazing!
Troupes: brothers best friend, friends to dislike to lovers, romantic suspense, small town, fake dating,
Spice 3/5
Plot 4/5
Pace 4/5
Character Personality 4/5
Character Growth 4/5
Writing Style 4/5
World Building 5/5

I found myself struggling with this ending. Catherine seems to really enjoy a good twist but this one just seemed far-fetched. The bad guy easily just could have been the brother, we didn't need to extra crazy out-of-left-field player on the board. It just felt to much.

1. Catherine Cowles can do no wrong
2. How can a suspense romance make me cry so much?
3. I don't think I could love the characters of the Lost and Found Series more!
Every time I think I have a Catherine Cowles book figured out it throws me for another loop! I will always love outdoor girly FMC. And I could not love the diabetic rep more! The way Glimmers of you makes you feel every possible emotion! I hurt for Caden, but I celebrated with Grae, I mourned for the families. And the glimpses into Roman's book, I'm swooning!!! I really really don't want to be that person who loads their reviews with spoilers so I am practicing copious amounts of self control. I just want to sit her and applaud the perfection Catherine Cowles continues to produce.
When I'm excited about a book I normally fly through it, but I savored every damn drop of this!!!!

I fall a little bit more in love with Catherine Cowles and her worlds with each new book. I sort of knew that I was going to love Grae's and Caden's story when Catherine introduced them. There was just this feistiness, this sassy strength to Grae, and the spark between her and Caden, even when they were dancing around each other, was bright and magnetic. Well, let me just say that Catherine does not disappoint, because GLIMMERS OF YOU was all that I was hoping for and more.
There's always been a deep connection between Grae and Caden, and even with the separation of time and distance, that connection is still alive. Buried deep, maybe, under layers of hurt and denial, but it's there. And once it's given a little bit of light and air, fueled by feelings that they can't keep hidden, it's bright and beautiful once more.
I can honestly say that Catherine has not written one character that I do not adore, but Grae is one of my favorites. She is strong, she is resilient, she loves deeply, and she takes no crap. And Caden, beautiful and broken, but still so full of love, needs Grae and everything that she is to remind him of who he is, and all that he has to offer.
GLIMMERS OF YOU had me from the first page, and is perfect combination of passion, suspense (because it would be a Catherine Cowles book without a healthy dose of suspense), and love rediscovered, and I cannot recommend it any more highly. And the fact that we get Roan's book next? Well that makes this book lover's heart happy indeed, because he's the epitome of the strong, silent, type, and I cannot wait to see what he's like when he opens up. In the meantime, if you haven't read GLIMMERS OF YOU, you simply must. Your romance loving heart will thank you for it. ❤️
