Another Catherine Cowles book I absolutely loved. Grae and Caden tried their best to protect their hearts from one another while being in a fake relationship however when they drop their guard the sparks fly. This twist in suspense was definitely unexpected. I now always look at all characters in books as suspects but I was not betting on the culprit of the suspense. Loving this series!

He glanced down at me, our gazes locking. “I thought you wanted to murder me.” I shrugged. “Murder’s my love language, remember?”

I love that we get to see Caden and Grace grow up together. This was never a fake relationship, it was two people in love who were in denial and I love it so much. These two were made for each other and they fit into the families so perfectly. The plot twist wasn’t something I saw coming at all and I’m here for it!

Another Catherine Cowles stunner. Absolutely amazing addition to the Hartley family lovefest! Grae Hartley is the youngest of the Hartley siblings and the only girl, so her family is uber protective of her, especially as she is a Type 1 diabetic that keeps her levels under control with an insulin pump. Caden Shaw has been Nash Hartley's best friend forever, and he was Grae's friend took, until he started pulling away and then moved away. But now he's back and Grae is trying to avoid him, because she knows that what she feels for Caden is no longer just friendship! When an unwanted suitor keeps pestering Grae for a date, she reaches out to Caden to pretend that they are dating. Caden agrees, as this helps him with a situation with his bullying abusive father who thinks that Caden has too much of a playboy image. As Grae deals with a stalker and Caden with his abusive family, they turn to each other for support, their friendship grows and their chemistry combusts.

Once again, Ms. Cowles has written a story that warms the heart, creates a suspenseful romance that brings all the feels. I'm not ashamed to admit that I couldn't put this book down and stayed up way too late reading 'just one more chapter', but now that I'm finished, I ready for the next installment. Love Ms. Cowles style of story telling and the characters she creates.

Can you fall more in love with each book in this series? The anwser is definitely, yes! [a:Catherine Cowles|18087133|Catherine Cowles|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1528304634p2/18087133.jpg] has done an excellent job with this new book and I found myself like a detective again, like in book one, and having doubts about all the characters who were around Grae and Caden. Oh my... how I loved this book.
I listened to the audiobook with Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. I absolutely loved their performance, they are both so talented and they brought out the emotions of the characters so well. I'm so glad I listened to my friends and started this series.

Caden and Grae are faking their relationship and I loved how her brothers reacted at that. They’re all so protective of her and I love them so dang much ❤️. Grae is strong and don’t want her brothers to know when little things happened to her. She always wants to take care of herself without telling anyone cause she doesn't want the others to be overly protective of her, but when Caden re-entered her life, something will change.
Caden is back in Cedar Ridge for his family business? After what he’s been through in the past he don’t want to let his walls down and don’t want to be close to Grae. He don’t do commitment. But when it comes to her his walls can crumble and that's what fear him.
I loved this book through and through. I loved the Hartley family as always. I adored how Roan was with Grae, he was more present in this book even if he spoken not so much but I saw a special bond between them. He cares a lot even if he use only few words. That's why I'm impatient to read his story.

Do I need to say that I recommend this book? I don’t have to but I’ll do it anyway. This book is a must read like this whole series by the way. So don't waste any more time and grab it.
