I adored the majority of these stories and loved the way some of the authors gave a nod to the original Miss Marple books. I just felt some were not as strong as others and didn’t quite get the character right. Any enjoyable collection of short stories though.

Mostly it just made me want to read a real Agatha Christie. Many of the stories barely needed Miss Marple in them or mischaracterised her to fit their style rather than really trying to write a Miss Marple and others seemed to be almost parodying it. It’s a very hard ask to write in someone else’s style and character, but I think I wouldn’t recommend overall.
