This was such a cute read. Ash and Braht's story was a funny and had some surprisingly emotional moments. I loved the banter back and forth between them. I had moments of laughter and moments of tears. Definitely a must read!!
When I initially was introduced to the books of Sarina Bowen, I found her refreshing. At this point new adult books were all the rage, and I hated how so many of them portrayed college students. I loved that Sarina Bowen was able to create college characters who actually acted like they were really in college. I loved her characters and their stories full of depth and heart and heart-fluttering romances. But lately I have become pretty disappointed with the direction Sarina Bowen has taken her writing. I would say that her stories are getting into borderline erotica, with WAY too much focus on the physical chemistry of a couple and little focus on an actual story of emotional or intellectual connection. Frankly, it's boring. But I keep grabbing her stories, hoping that somehow I will find a return to the magical formula she used when I first read her books.
Sadly, Man Card didn't deliver. I can't count the number of eye rolls I had during this story. It was pretty constant. I know that this was told in a humorous sort of way, but humor only works if all of us are in on the joke. I wasn't feeling it at all, so the humor was mostly irritating. I felt like this story was a whole bunch of nothing. NOTHING happens. We don't really get to know either Ash or Braht on any sort of deeper level ... and that's pretty much because in the story neither Ash nor Braht were all that interested in getting to know each other. There was lots of kissing and thinking about kissing and internal monologues about how incredibly hot and bothered they were for each other, but other than that? Nothing. The absolute best part of this story involved Ash being stalked by her felon ex-husband. That added what should have been a good dose of suspense into the story. It should have given Sarina Bowen an opportunity to dig deeper into these characters. It should have been an opportunity to Ash and Braht to truly bond, but it fell flat. Once the ex is given the opportunity to explain what he's after ... well, it was a total let-down. The one element of this story that could have been fantastic was a snoozer.
I'm not sure if I have the patience or hope to try any more Sarina Bowen books. Sadly, I think I've determined that they are not for me. If you are someone who loves for your stories to be loaded with sex that is detailed in a ridiculously detailed fashion over and over and over again, then I'm sure that you'll find much to love in this story, but I'm going to have to give this two stars. It gets one star for the story, but I'll throw in an extra one because Erin Mallon and Luke Daniels do a marvelous job narrating an audio book that must have been the source of much laughter at the end of their performances.

So. Much. Fun. I laughed out loud through the whole book. Pure entertainment honey bear!
It was free on kindle AND it is by Sarina Bowen - in other words, a safe bet when it comes to find a short, hilarious love story.
I loved Ash & Braht's story. for some reason I pictured Eliza Coupe from Happy Endings as Ash. I enjoyed the humor and subtle shade at 45, and the story.
This enemies to lovers story picks up where book one left off. After the hot, but embarrassing pantry disaster, Ash is trying to avoid Braht. It is difficult now that he is working alongside her, making her office supplies do x-rated things! As they compete for the most sales, they get into one hilarious predicament after another. When Ash has some mysterious issues, Braht wants to prove to her that she can always count on him to protect her. Braht is so sweet and hilarious in this story, I really fell for his manscaping ways! I love Braht and Ash, they are so cute together, and their chemistry is explosive. It was also fun catching up with all their quirky friends and family too, making this story even more entertaining, and heartwarming.
Luke Daniels and Erin Mallon were so perfect as Braht and Ash. I loved the way they really put themselves out there, being just as outrageous. Daniels nailed Braht so flawlessly, especially his hilarious side comments and his different accents. Erin Mallon was exquisite as always, I love how she effortlessly changes characters making each one quirky and distinct.
This fast paced story is filled with hilarious and embarrassing predicaments, a bit of suspense, and is also heartwarming, sweet, and super hot & sexy. I absolutely love this series and can't wait to listen to Sadie's story next!

4 Stars.
I really liked Braht, despite his ridiculous name. I liked that he broke all kinds of tropes about what a “man” is and how he should act. There was yet another chance for a “big misunderstanding” but I was once again pleased to see that the authors chose for the characters to actually be logical and just…talk. Ash’s character was mostly enjoyable. She had a few moments here and there where she got on my nerves…mostly when she was keeping a bunch of stupid secrets about Dwight or how she basically locked herself into a holding pattern after Dwight and didn’t seem to realize it. And also…Bramly is adorable.

January 15th is known as “Blue Monday” aka “the most depressing day of the year” here in the U.K. and I choose to believe Bowen & Eby purposely chose this day to bestow the much-awaited second release in their hilarious romcom series.
Although MAN CARD can be considered a standalone, it features two standout characters first introduced in MAN HANDS. Ashley Power is the no nonsense, go-getting firecracker of a real estate agent. She’s successful and serious and has no time for irritating and excitable Sebastian Braht. Not only is he her nemesis and rival competitor, most annoyingly he’s the object of her unsolicited porny daydreams.
Braht has made no secret of his pursuit of Ash, as far as he is concerned it’s a matter of time before she gives up the ghost and gives in to her attraction to him. The fact that he has transferred to her offices should help move things along nicely. Much to Ash’s chagrin his presence becomes more sought out than an annoyance and we see their “rivalry” become more of a romance.
By all means Braht is very much the metrosexual male, and there is no denying his lovability. Be that as it may he’s not afraid to bare his teeth when it come’s to protecting his ladies honor. I really enjoyed exploring the emotional side to him and discovering more about the man beneath the coiffed hair do.
You can consider me a fully paid up, card-carrying lover of this series! It’s full of romance, comedy and dialogue that had me in stitches on many an occasion.

I chose Man Card as my first read of 2018 because I needed to start my new year out with lots of humor and sexy times. What a great choice, because that is exactly what I got.
Blurb from Goodreads:
Ash and Braht were first introduced Man Hands, and if you haven’t read it yet, go one-click right now. So funny. Honestly, I was kind of meh about Braht after finishing Man Hands. He and Ash together made me scratch my head because of the hate/lust thing they had for each other and because I wasn’t sure I could take him seriously. I will never doubt these authors again, because damn it, I am in hero love right now.
Braht is what you would call a metrosexual. He likes nice clothes, he gets mani/pedis regularly, and takes up more bathroom time than the heroine. He’s also funny, competitive and absolutely devoted to Ash because he believes that they are meant for each other. Ash doesn’t know what to make of him, because despite his weird name and pampered exterior, and the fact that he is a rival real estate agent in the area, she’s unbelievably attracted to him. He drives her crazy in more ways than one.
This was a fast read, I think I blew through it in a couple of hours. I expected the laugh out loud humor, and ridiculous situations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet and honest Ash and Braht’s romance turned out to be. And sexy, don’t forget sexy. What starts out as antagonism and annoyance, quickly morphs into a partnership where this couple begins to lean on each other. A misunderstanding leads to him getting invited to a family function and it just keeps on keeping on from there.
Goodness, I loved that fact that Braht got so turned on my Ash’s competitiveness and was more than happy to let her be the alpha in the relationship most of the time. Beta heroes are my kryptonite. Ash doesn’t need another creepy guy who is only there to use her (you’ll learn why), in fact she isn’t interested at first in having any kind of relationship, but how do you resist a guy who wants to cook for you, and makes you laugh by arranging your office supplies into sexual positions and answers to a fake name so your parents don’t realize you lied to them about having a boyfriend? You don’t.
Even though as of right now there are only two books in this series listed on Goodreads, I’m hoping that this writing duo decides to collaborate again. Soon. I believe Sadie still needs an HEA. Final Grade-B

Nothing ventured, nothing banged…
Ash
I still don’t know how it happened. One minute I was arguing with my arrogant competitor–our usual trash-talk over who deserves the larger commission. But somehow I went from throwing down to kneeling down…
It can never happen again. I don’t even like Braht. He’s too slick. He’s a manipulating mansplaining party boy in preppy clothes.
So why can’t I get him out of my head?
Braht
There are two things I know without question. One: Ash and I are destined for each other. Two: never trust a man with a unibrow.
Ash is my missing my piece. She’s the sweet cream to my gourmet espresso. And nothing gets me going faster than her contempt for me. They don’t call her the Ashkicker for nothing.
Eventually I’ll win her over…if my past doesn’t ruin everything first.
