I know it's not out yet but I'm giving it 5 stars purely because of nostalgia. This book was in my wattpad library when I was in hs and I've reread it a thousand times I think. And all of my friends know how much I loved it because to this day I use it as an example of good writing and entertaining story on wattpad, and I was constantly complaining about it not being published when so many worse books were. I'm really looking forward to reading it as a published book, and if can get my hands on a physical copy I will definitely be getting that too. I'm so excited I found this out and the date is on my calendar.

Boot Camp is a fun read following Whitney on her fitness journey. I am now researching adult summer camps. I loved the friendships she made with the other  and girls and the challenges she overcame. A super lighthearted read, with a smidge of romance and lots of inspiration.

Well it was a quick but lovely wattpad read ✨❤

Agh! I actually really enjoyed this book! It was so fun, so easy, such a cute YA read that just resonated with me in so many ways!! I loved the characters, the redemption arcs, the ROMANCE!! Axel? Oh my word I love him!! He is adorable, and Whitney was so real, I find it’s uncommon to find relatable FMC’s now but Miss Gina hit this nail on the head.

Whitney was brilliant with her perseverance and strength in this novel. I saw a lot of myself in her, especially in relation to the bullying she experienced and issues with her self-confidence. But this novel accentuates that no matter how you may feel about yourself, you are and always will be loved.

I would honestly love more of Axel and Whitney, my only annoyance was that we didn’t get enough of them. It brought me back to my days of Wattpad and how much I adored reading those stories. I honestly had such a great time with this novel and highly recommend for a fun, cute, relatable romance!

This was cute. There were a lot of things that I enjoyed and just as many things that bugged me. It was slow burn due to consent issues that would have arisen due to their dynamic at the camp. The entire Ilsa relationship was weird, the apologies were all weak and other plot lines while decent could have been fuller. I feel like there were so many opportunities to really dive deeper that then just lead to a chapter or scene break and just left things feeling incomplete/unresolved. Overall I enjoyed it but didn’t love it.

First thought: A really well written love letter to all the girls struggling with insecurities and trying to navigate the world. This is a cute coming of age story that shows all sides of growing up: the good, the bad and the scary and how you can conquer and push through to live the life you want.

Whitney has always felt like the she doesn’t fit in with her family. They are all athletes and bond over exercise while she is the valedictorian of her high school class and can’t run a mile without passing out. Her relationship with her dad is stained because she thinks she doesn’t fit the mold he wants her to be, aka a clone of her perfect sister.

So this summer she’s determined to change that and she signs up for a 5 week all girls fitness camp that is about growth physically as well as emotionally. But what she set out to do comes with its own set of challenges when she ends up at camp with her arch nemesis from hs who bullied her endlessly and gave her self esteem issues. Will she let her insecurities ruin this opportunity to become what she always wanted?

To make things worse she’s paired up with a personal trainer she thinks is out to kill her, not only with his workouts but with his looks. How is she suppose to work with him for 5 weeks. But one thing her family had taught her is that she never quits so she will dig deep and give this her all.

Literally Themes you’ll find:

* Coming of Age
* Not Giving Up
* Conquering Insecurities
* Bullying
* Parental Pressure
* Summer Camp
* Found Family

DID NOT FINISH: 0%

I watched the movie and loved all the cheese it offered. I downloaded Wattpad but can’t justify spending extra money with my already endless tbr, plus it would never save my spot and that was so annoying. So if I see this book out and about as I know it was published, I’ll pick it up. And if I don’t no sweat because I saw the movie and again my tbr is never ending so I have to let things go sometimes!
