Wow. This was...incredible.

I read the Game of Thrones and Psychology and also the Walking Dead and Psychology by the same author and this one is above and beyond the best one imho.

Lots of definitions and citing of specific themes and moments to illustrate, this work dives into the world of Batman through his many incarnations. From comics to films, it's all included and quotes are used throughout from the various foes as well as some poignant casefiles.

I would recommend this to anyone that is interested in learning more about psychology as well as anyone who is a batman fan!

Very well done! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

Out of the little over 150 books I have read so far this year, this is hands-down my favorite read BY FAR.

This was a fascinating look into the psychology of batman and villains in verious incarnations the one drawback is it started to go over the same thing towards the end

Fantastic read! Not just an in depth analysis of the history, legacy, and influence of the character Batman on society and entertainment, but also a great psychology primer, covering many topics typically covered in an intro psychology course and even some deeper dives into abnormal psychology when discussing Batman's villains. I particularly liked the section comparing the psyches of Batman and Hamlet, two of my favorite literary protagonists. I highly recommend this book!

A decently thorough and clearly written examination of Batman and the world he lives in. Well supported by many examples, hitting all the highlights of Batman's universe and his complex nature. Maintains a good balance between clinical and everyday language, keeping the material engaging while still completely accurate.
