Wow I can't believe this is the end. Except I don't believe it. This book felt less like a finale than a prequel or recap before a new book/season. A lot of the lessons were spoon fed to us in some repetitive dialogue at the end. I know it's been a while since I read the first half of the series, but I felt like there were plotlines that were dropped or forgotten about. The only character I truly felt had reached their greatest potential was trellis (especially after he felt a bit lackluster in the last two books). I am interested in where kibuishi will go next, whether it's picking up with more amulet books following emily or the new characters in Alledia or something else entirely.

Very rushed but overall okay ending. I love this series so much, definetely one of my favorite graphic novel series of all time. I’ll probably reread it at some point in the future.

loved this series so much; the storyline, the characters and all the friends they met along the way!!
but the ending of this one felt so forced. there’s soo many storylines that don’t add up and plot holes that I neeedd and explication for. i thought this last book would clear up some thing but it has left me even more confused abt certain aspects of the story, and character povs that have been left without any sort of ending or clarification!!
this book was still very nice and nostalgic but i feel like the story could’ve ended in a better way; especially for some of the characters
